The children's author David Walliams parted ways with book publisher.

Best-selling young adult author and comedian David Walliams is no longer with his longtime publishing house, according to an announcement.

A spokesman for the publisher commented: "After careful consideration, and with the guidance of its recently appointed chief executive, HarperCollins UK has decided not to publish additional books by David Walliams."

It has been reported that the decision was made after an review of allegations of inappropriate behaviour towards young women.

The company has not elaborated on the motivations for this action, noting: "We refrain from speaking about private personnel issues."

An Illustrious Writing Journey

Walliams stands as a most best-selling authors for kids, with sales exceeding over six tens of millions of copies worldwide in dozens of tongues.

The debut children's novel from Walliams, *The Boy in the Dress*, came out under HarperCollins in 2008.

A number of his works, including *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have also been adapted into television films.

He has published in excess of 40 works in total, encompassing a Christmas book titled *Santa & Son*, which came out under HarperCollins in October.

He first rose to fame on the broadcast sketch program *Little Britain* and has also won National Television Awards for his role as a panelist on *Britain's Got Talent*.

He was made an OBE several years ago honoring his contributions to the charitable sector and arts community.

This move occurs subsequent to the appointment of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's recent CEO in October.
