Chiefs Confirm Alleged Abuse Allegations Involving Wide Receiver Rashee Rice

The NFL franchise issued a statement on Wednesday evening indicating they have knowledge of domestic violence allegations circulated in online accounts by a former girlfriend of wide receiver the athlete and had been in communication with the league office.

The team did not mention Rice specifically in their statement and noted they would have “nothing more to add at this time”.

Allegations Shared on Social Media

The woman, who likewise did not name the athlete by name, posted a series of photos on social media that appeared to show indicators of bodily harm. Jones did say the individual in question was the parent of her kids, and reports indicate she has two children with the football player, whom the team selected in the 2023 draft.

No police reports were on file in Overland Park, Kansas where the incident is said to have occurred.
