British boxer Anthony Joshua Released from Hospital in Lagos Following Fatal Car Crash
The British boxer Anthony Joshua has been discharged from hospital, officials in Lagos stated on Wednesday evening. The 36-year-old was involved in a car accident outside Lagos on December 29th, a tragic incident that resulted in the deaths of two of his valued colleagues.
Healing from Light Wounds
Joshua had been under observation while recuperating from non-critical injuries, representatives stated earlier on Monday. The Lagos state commissioner for information, Gbenga Omotoso, announced via a post on X that Joshua was declared medically stable to “recuperate at home”.
“The boxer and his mother were at the funeral home in Lagos this afternoon to pay their final respects to his two deceased friends as they were being made ready for the journey back,” the official remarked.
A Tribute to the Fallen
The two men who died were identified as Latif Ayodele, a fitness coach, and Sina Ghami, a strength and conditioning coach. It was also noted that the boxer was “heavy-hearted and deeply emotional over the passing of his two dear friends.”
His release from the hospital follows the sports world had expressed condolences for the champion in the following the terrible crash.
