A Palestinian-American adolescent after completing a nine-month period in Israeli detention absent formal charges was released.

Mohammed Ibrahim had just turned 15 at the time of his arrest this past winter within the occupied West Bank, while he was vacationing on holiday from Florida for allegedly throwing stones toward Israeli settlers, allegations he repeatedly contested.

American diplomatic officials said it welcomed the news of Mohammed's release.

Mohammed, now 16, was taken to hospital for treatment immediately after release, relatives told the media.

According to them, he appears visibly pale and thin, and is suffering from conditions developed during imprisonment.

In a statement, Mohammed's uncle expressed the family's "tremendous relief".

Family member Zeyad Kadur described how relatives endured "living a horrific and endless nightmare" throughout the past nine months.

"Currently, we are focused on ensuring Mohammed receives prompt healthcare necessary for his recovery after being subjected to mistreatment by authorities and cruel circumstances over several months."

The state department announced ongoing to extend consular services to the teenager's relatives.

{"US government authorities has no higher priority to ensuring the safety of US citizens"," the department emphasized.

Several congressional representatives endorsed a document to diplomatic officials and President Donald Trump, demanding more be done for his freedom.

The father, with four children operating an ice cream shop in Florida, previously said his son only confessed to throwing stones due to physical abuse.

He had not seen nor direct contact since February, and only heard about his son's condition through judicial records.

The teenager remained without charge within Ofer penitentiary on the West Bank.

It is also home to grown detainees, including individuals found guilty regarding severe security violations and homicide.

Approximately 350 Palestinian child security detainees currently imprisoned in Israel, based on prison authority data.

Several lack formal charges along with monitoring agencies, as well as the United Nations, report instances of abuse and torture.

After the teenager's freedom, the uncle stated relatives would persist in advocating demanding accountability for their family member Sayfollah Musallet.

The 20-year-old dual US citizen per medical officials succumbed to assault by Israeli settlers during a confrontation last July.

Initially, defense forces stated they were examining accounts of a Palestinian had died.

Mohammed and Sayfollah had worked together within the family's frozen treats establishment based in Florida.

No one has been charged for the cousin's murder.

"We anticipate United States leadership to safeguard our relatives," the uncle stated.
