On Monday, Leicester Crown Court heard call records and data obtained from phones recorded Ms Wandelt persistently demanding Madeleine's mother for a biological test over that period.

Madeleine's disappearance in 2007 - as a three-year-old during a vacation in Portugal - is among the most publicized investigations and remains unsolved.

'I Don't Want Money'

A separate phone message, played in court, documented Ms Wandelt saying: "I understand I'm fat and not pretty like Madeleine used to be, but I feel what I know."

While another instance of Ms Wandelt's recordings with Mrs McCann's answerphone said: "Suppose there is a tiny probability that I am she? What happens next? Is that not crucial for you?"

"I do not need money, I possess a living here in Poland, I just want to discover," the recording stated.

The panel was informed that via emails, mobile messages and phone calls, Ms Wandelt demanded a genetic test, transmitted early photographs to her phone in a attempt to show a resemblance to Mrs McCann's vanished daughter, and stated to have "recollections" from a childhood with the McCanns.

Robert Jones, an intelligence analyst with law enforcement who gathered the information, advised the court there "showed no any responses" from Mrs McCann.

Ms Wandelt furthermore contacted close associates of the McCanns, according to the communication logs.

On that date, Gerry McCann responded to a phone call from Ms Wandelt to his wife's phone, saying she had "incorrect contact information."

On that occasion Ms Wandelt left a recording on Mrs McCann's recording saying "I will continue and I will prove my point."

The court heard Mrs Spragg developed a connection via internet with Ms Wandelt before assisting her on a appearance to the McCanns' property in that area in December 2024.

Phone records demonstrated Mrs Spragg had communicated via communication app to Mrs McCann to say the media had portrayed Ms Wandelt as "mentally unstable" but that she deserved to be treated respectfully in the time before the trip to that location, Leicestershire, in that winter.

The court learned message exchanges between the two accused, in November 2024, considering attempting to obtain Mrs McCann's DNA samples from her trash or from cutlery at a restaurant.

"We must assert ourselves," Mrs Spragg informed Ms Wandelt.

On the occasion of the visit to their home, Mrs Spragg dispatched a communication which said: "We are sitting adjacent to the McCanns' home with our vehicle dark like investigators. I wanted to achieve this with someone else I never thought I would be doing that with the McCanns."

The trial continues.
